Ball Vibrators
Characteristics: Simple; inexpensive; moderate noise
Description: Especially suited for fine, dry materials that bridge in small to moderate size hoppers; also used on chutes at an angle greater than 30 degrees and on bottling and canning line rails to reduce hangups; moderate noise level; lubrication extends life.
MODELS:
- Aluminum Body - Aluminum body for food and pharmaceutical applications.
- Malleable Iron Body - For most other applications.
RECOMMENDATION: Intermittent operation (1 to 2 hours/day) when considering energy usage and life.

Roller Vibrators
Characteristics: Simple, moderate life, moderate noise
Description: A simple design with one moving part delivers high centrifugal forces at high frequency; well suited for fine, dry materials that bridge; also suited for consolidation of precast concrete in steel forms or molds; moderate initial cost; slightly quieter than a ball vibrator; requires lubrication; moderate air consumption; long life.
MODELS:
- Heavy Duty - well suited for the concrete industry.
- Extra Heavy Duty - ideal to help place, consolidate, and finish precast concrete; repairable.
RECOMMENDATION: Intermittent operation (2 to 4 hours/day) when considering energy usage and life.

Turbine Vibrators
Characteristics: Quiet, long life, low air consumption
Description: A turbine wheel rotating on ball bearing(s) delivers high centrifugal force, especially suited for fine, dry materials that bridge stored in small to medium size hoppers.
MODELS:
- High Pressure, High Frequency - ideal for powder and materials which tend to bridge.
- Low Pressure, High Amplitude - ideal for materials which contain moisture and tend to bridge or rathole;
RECOMMENDATION: Intermittent operation (4 to 8 hours/day) when considering energy usage and life.

Piston Vibrators
Characteristics: Moderate life, rugged construction, linear force output
Description: Well suited for small, medium and large hoppers with wet, sticky materials that rathole such as prepared foundry sand; also suited for chutes and feeder applications; low initial cost; high noise levels with impacting models; substantially reduced noise levels with non-impacting models; requires lubrication; low air consumption.
MODELS:
- Precision Linear - especially suitable for feeding parts or powders down chutes or as a pneumatic drive on small vibratory feeders.
- Extended Piston - for feeding parts and powders down chutes or as a pneumatic drive for vibatory feeders.
RECOMMENDATION: Intermittent operation (4 to 8 hours/day when considering energy usage and life. For continuous duty, use the VFP, VFPL, VLB, or VOA/VOS series which are more energy efficient.

Rotary Air Motor Driven Vibrators
Characteristics: Powerful, portable, high amplitude
Description: A Powerful vibrator suited for medium to large hoppers with dry or wet, sticky materials that rathole such as prepared foundry sand; also suited for placing and consolidating very low "slump" concrete in steel forms or concrete molds; also suited for portable applications such as a railcar shaker; high noise levels; requires lubrication and clean air, moderate air consumption; repairable.
CC7 series with clamp type vibrator for portability.
D7 series, as shown, for permanent mount.
RECOMMENDATION: Intermittent and continuous operations where high force output and/or portability are required or where electrical power is unavailable or undesirable.

Rotary Electric Vibrators
Characteristics: Rugged, energy efficient, low noise
Description: A rugged, rotary electric motor with adjustable eccentrics for variable force outputs; well suited for hoppers which store dry or high moisture materials which bridge or rathole; also suited for vibratory feeders and screens and for placing and consolidating very low "slump" concrete in steel or concrete molds or forms; motors are dust tight and suitable for outdoor applications; motors rated for hazardous location are also available; higher initials cost; very low noise levels; very low energy usage; long life; repairable.
MODELS:
- 3600 RPM Vibrator - ideal for almost any size hopper, chute, and compaction tables for specific materials which respond to this frequency.
- 1800 RPM Vibrator - ideal for bin activators, vibratory screens (product size minus 3/4"), and compaction tables for specific materials which respond to this frequency.
- 1200 RPM Vibrator - ideal for vibratory screens (product size between 3/4" and 2"), vibratory feeders, and compaction tables for specific materials which respond to this frequency.
- 900 RPM Vibrator - ideal for vibratory screens (product size greater than 2") and compaction tables for specific materials which respond to this frequency.

Rail Car Vibrators
Piston Railcar Shaker
Characteristics: Simple, inexpensive, easy to mount
Description: Simulates a high frequency hammer; male wedge slips into female bracket on rail hopper car; low air consumption compared to other types of air vibrators; high noise level. 52 lbs.
RECOMMENDATION: Intermittent or continuous duty unloading most products shipped in closed hopper rail cars. Difficult products may require a vibrator on each side of the rail car discharge pocket(s).
Description: Allows car shaker to be wheeled into position and slid into or lifted out of rail car brackets mounted near hopper discharge. Requires space around unloading site to maneuver cart. Check specifications for dimensions.
RECOMMENDATION: Use when concerned about personnel lifting and extending car shaker into and out of hopper car bracket.
Description: A powerful, rugged, air vibrator with a linear force output with a male wedge to fit wedge bracket found on most closed hopper cars; low initial cost; high noise levels with impacting models; requires lubrication; low air consumption; moderate life; fast and easy to mount.
RECOMMENDATION: A good choice due to ease of use, low initial cost, low air consumption and moderate life.
Rotary Electric Railcar Shaker
Characteristics: Rugged, energy efficient, low noise
Description - A rugged, rotary electric motor with adjustable eccentrics for variable force outputs; used with an adapter bracket with a male wedge to fit wedge bracket found on most closed hopper cars; well suitable for dry materials which bridge; dust tight and splash-proof rated; hazardous location rated also available; low noise levels; very low energy usage; long life; heavier than piston or turbine railcar shakers; repairable.
RECOMMENDATION: A good choice when noise and energy consumption are important considerations and operator is capable of handling the weight.
Dual Roller Vibrator Assembly
Characteristics: Portable, inexpensive, ease to mount
Description: A dual roller pneumatic vibrator ideal for unloading railcars that require high frequency and high force. Equipped with a comfort grip side handle, the Dual Roller Vibrator Assembly is easily positioned in the pocket or moved from car to car. 65 lbs.
RECOMMENDATION: A good choice due to ease of use, low initial cost, and long wear life.
